Hello,
I am trying to upgrade the BIOS of my Toshiba Qosmio G30 (PQG31C-HD202E) from ACPI bios version 1.40 to 3.90, The laptop is running Windows vista 32-bit, Under my laptop it says PQG31C-HD202E and I download the BIOS update from that page which is specifically for my computer but when I run the update it extracts the files and then says This computer is not supported...I don`t understand why because it is for my exact model and it should fix my problems!!
I want to update the BIOS because random characters and lines are appearing on the screen, and in the bios update my model is listed as defective for that exact problem and the resolution is to update the bios to 3.90 and it should fix the problem.

Multiple images
Random characters on the screen
Lines on the screen
No video with power on
RESOLUTION:
Please make sure to update the BIOS to version 3.90 or later.
