My laptop (Delll Inspiron 11 3147)s HDD recently bit the dust, and when I opened it to replace the drive with another one that I had lying around, I found that the screws to the HDD inside the laptop were stripped. Anyone know any good ways to get these screws out??

Any and all help would be appreciated.

You can try...

1. Using a rubber band with your Philips. The rubber band between the screwdriver and the screw helps fill in the gaps and grip the screw.
2. Use a metal file or a dremel to carve/make an incision (not a deep one). You can then use a flathead to get the screw out.

Hopefully either of those options help. You can find the metal file or dremel at any local hardware/home improvement store, or from an online retailer.
