Asus charger problem

My X550z laptop charger just refuses to charge. When I picked it up, I heard a buzzing noise in the power brick, so I believe it's the adapter and not the laptop.

Hi,

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help in identifying the issue.
- First is to test your AC adapter. It may not supply enough voltage or better yet try a different AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it would charge your laptop.
- Next is to remove the battery and boot it up with just the AC adapter and see if it would boot up.
- If your laptop will not boot up with just the AC adapter that means it's faulty.
