I don't need end to end encryption. ( I wish the messages were encrypted in transmission from server to server just for security but No One does that unless your sending mail to a party who needs it encrypted - how stupid is that !!) <-- Why doesn't anyone do that.. it seems to me that is the way encryption Should work.

What I do need barring the above which no one does, is an email service that does not Read, Store or Sell or Give my email data to anyone not even governments. The servers must be outside the USA so they will not be subject to the USA's draconian spying practices/ legal acquisition of the data.

I'm looking to replace all my google and microsoft services by real companies who care about privacy. Can anyone suggest a real secure in these respects email service thats trusted? Thanks

Check out this:

I'm curious about something... How come you just don't use the free email accounts that your ISP gives you? That's way more secure and private than Gmail or Yahoo mail.

That list has a few I haven't heard of. Do you have personal experience with any of these companies track records?

The reason why I won't use my ISP' email is because my ISP was one of the companies caught stealing private citizens personal data for the NSA in the illegal Prism data collecting scheme. I cannot trust my ISP from reading, recording, selling or giving away my private email content - hows that for a good enough reason LOL
