Audiophile or gaming headset?

Solution
About your headphone choices above,

Your pitting entry level AKG's vs gaming headsets that are 2-3 times more expensive. Not a very fair comparison to say the least. Audio quality wise, you aren't going to see a big difference between the AKGs and the expensive Steelseries siberia V2.

If you game in a quite environment and don't want to spend allot of money, these are the best bang for your buck

If you need a mic you have a wide array of choices. You could either purchase a mod mic (or similar) or you can get a condenser mic. Something like the Blue Snowball will beat any boom mic on any...
that video above is actually very informative if you arent already aware of such information.

what is your budget? country of origin? what kind of sound signature do you want? what equipment do you have now and is buying a soundcard/amp an option for you? do you require it to be a headset (do you need a mic)?

generally headphones+mic are superior to gaming headsets as far as quality is concerned.

Yeah it's pretty great for getting people introduced. Better than me typing a wall of text and easier to digest.

Something like the Blue Snowball will beat any boom mic on any gaming headset. The great part about it is you put it on your desk, away from yourself. It's really nice if you don't want something dangling in front of your face. They are around the same price as a ModMic.

These are secondhand headset,My budget are in below 50 dollars, 60 max, i live somewhere in SEA, The headphones i looking for need to have decent audio and not crap sound, equipment i have now are cheap dirt sony headphones which is good but i need dedicated headset for gaming and a little music, and if buying soundcard will it have advantage over build in sound chip? will it worth the price? as far as i knew i'm good with build in chip and i might getting one in the future if there are huge performance gap, the mic will be in option but i mostly playing single player and if add on mic will add the price and reduce the sound quality might best to skip it.

I also don't want to compromise Good sound quality over those add on gaming thing they put on those headset.

And if i strecth my budget a little i might getting new Koss Porta Pro and AKG K511

You should only buy a sound card after you purchase a good set of headphones. It's not really worth it unless you have more expensive headphones. The superlux headphones I linked are better than the AKG K511 and really are the best in that price range. Spend any less than what the superlux cost and the sound won't be better than the cheap headphones you have. Only so much they can do in that price range.

Good portability, budget sound quality. You should only be picking those up if you need something portable.

Don't just take my word for it

http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/over-ear

That is the top headphone list on head-fi, probably the best place to talk about audio great on the internet

You'll find the headphones I linked on that list because of the sound they provide for the money. You simply cannot get better sound at that price point.
