I booted up my laptop and suddenly everything shut down, it wouldn't turn on or charge after that and the indicator light wouldn't turn on. Help me please?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start with a hard reboot, unplug it's AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it.
- If it doesn't work reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of second then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- Again if these doesn't work but you can hear the laptop on but with no display, connect an external monitor and see if it would display anything because if it does that means it's the built in display that is faulty.
- Next to try is if your AC adapter is still okay by trying another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it would work.
- If all these will not work then the problem is with the motherboard.

Do also try to remove the battery off your laptop and try booting it up with just its AC adapter. Please refer to this link below on how to disassemble your laptop.

Remove battery and charger, press and hold power button for 1 min, this should reset cmos settings and put the motherboard back to factory settings. If that doesnt work, remove battery, plug charger in, boot up and get in device manager.

How to get into device manager

Right click on "my computer" and click "manage" >>>>>> window will open and on the left one of the options is device manager, click it.

In device manager, under battery, expand this by clicking the triangle, now right click on "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and select uninstall. Now on the top should be your computers name, right click and "scan for hardware changes", this will reinstall acpi compliant battery control....

Now reboot, plug battery in only, if it boots up on battery use it until battery is completely dead, if windows hibernates to save battery, shut down, then restart, boot into bios and leave on the bios screen until the battery dies. Now plug in the cable of the charger if the charging light comes on let it charge for 5 hours +, before using the laptop again.
