Look I need some info. Like a lot of info on what to do. So if you could just give me anything and everything you know that could possibly get this fixed before I get busted that would be amazing. (That was not with sarcasm or attitude. I'm serious!):(

What model laptop is it?

Fixing it is basically going to mean replacing whichever layer of the screen is broken - either a shop, or you. You can probably buy the necessary bits off ebay - could be anywhere between$25 and $150 depending on what bit you've broken, but given the screen itself sounds OK it's probably on the cheaper end.

You're probably better off owning up and offering to repair it out of your own pocket than trying to hide it, though.
