Lap Top Making A Sound Most Of The Time

I have an Acer Aspire. I am hearing a fan sound about 95% of the time. This started a few days ago and has not stopped. Are there settings I can change? I do not think the lap top is over heating because the back of it is still very cool. I can feel air coming out from the left side

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First do a hard reboot, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it back up and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- Do also run Windows Update, install all update available.
- Once done and if the same problem will persist you may need to open your laptop and clean the inside, make sure there's no dust on the fans and apply new thermal paste on both the GPU and CPU.
