I own a Toshiba Satellite L875-S7153. Originally had 2x4GB of RAM. I wanted to upgrade the the memory, so I did my research. I needed a 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3 - 1600 PC3 12800.
So I bought these two:

I managed to installed them without any problems and while loading games and applications in the background, for about a month. Until recently, I was playing a game, and jsut everything froze. So I thought the game application probably just stopped responding, so I hard booted my computer. I would get a BSOD, something saying "driver irql_less_or_not_equal". I would reboot again and was able to load to the desktop, until about 3 minutes, the screen and mouse freezes up again. So I rebooted again, but this time the screen freeze would happen before even loading to the desktop. It would freeze at the OS loading screen or at the TOSHIBA boot up screen. I tried pressing F8 to get into safe mode, but I wouldn't be quick enough and it'll freeze. After a bunch of reboots, it would just auto reboot from freezing, in a loop. I tried to even System Restore, but after a few minutes it would happen again. I almost gave up and figured my laptop was dead.
Instead, I decided to try remove my new RAM and install the old 2x2GB of memory. My laptop finally rebooted normally. I then tried to start my computer with each of the new 4GB ram individually. The Corsair memory booted the laptop without any problems, but with the Crucial memory, my laptop wouldn't boot as well.
So my question is, is the Crucial memory defected? Should I get it replaced or since the voltages seem to be different-- the Corsair seems to be 1.5v while the Crucial is 1.35v-- will I have to get another Corsair or memory brand with similar voltage? I read that with lower voltage, my computer would run both memory at 1.35v.
Another problem I've noticed is that when I mix one of the old 2GB memory with the Corsair 4GB memory to make it 6GB, I would get a totally different BSOD. Can't remember what kind exactly. It doesn't say the voltages of the 2GBs.
