Just recently my LG Tv won't recognize one of the 2 ports of my TV.When I switch to the other hdmi port, it suddenly works and if I switch back after that to the original port,it works too.I mention also that the first port (the one which I connect my PC to Tv, won't work if I try to connect my cable HD receiver ,only works for my Pc,but not until I do the switch mentioned above). Do you know what might be the cause? I already installed the latest driver for my ATI Radeon 3800 graphic card.Do you think it's the Tv? Thank you for your answers!

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in identifying the issue.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstalling the AMD graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall AMD driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- Press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Duplicate or Extended display.

Hi ,

Thank you for your answer, but unfortunately, it doesn't work! I've uninstalled all my AMD stuff ( catalyst, driver, etc),then re-installed the latest driver for my ATI Radeon HD 3800+ card using the "Automatically Detect and Install Your Driver" from the AMD site ( I've also found it manually and it's the same driver)...I've also switched the Hdmi cable, but nothing works...It's like after I switch the Hdmi from the port that doesn't work to the other one, something suddenly clicks (my PC screen is black for a second) and after that, I have image on both PP and Tv.Then, when I switch back to the initial hdmi port,it works no matter how many times I turn on and off the Tv. But if I restart my computer ( it's a desktop not a laptop) ,we're back to square one, the Tv says "No signal".

I still think it has something to do with my LG Tv because that Hdmi port doesn't work for my TV HD reciever either ,although it used to work until 2 months ago.I would have said it is broken, but then I've used it for my PC-Tv Hdmi cable and it used to work fine until a couple of days ago when the current issue started...

Thank you for your support on this! Any other suggestions would be much appreciated !
