Yesterday I had ny computer working just fine with the laptop monitor and a secondary monitor used as additional desktop space. I could easily move windows between the two by dragging. Today, I turned on the computer with the extra monitor as usual. The laptop screen showed the usual logo but then all of the activity switched to the secondary monitor. The laptop screen is blank. I tried to detect in the settings but it says there is only on screen.
Any help is appreciated

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by pressing the Windows key + P at the same time and select Computer Only or Disconnect Projector.
- If it doesn't solve the problem do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try to boot it back and see if it will solve the problem.
- Next is to uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Do also uninstall anything related to your graphics card in Programs and Features.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- After installing the latest driver reboot your laptop then test it again.
- If these doesn't work the problem lies in the LCD itself.
- You may need to open your laptop and check if the ribbon cable is properly connected to the motherboard and the display.
