dell laptop display problem

brothers m having problem with my dell vostro 1510 laptop that when I switch it on fan run then stops after few seconds n display also disappears,,some time works may b for two hours but mostly this happens,I updated bios also but still having same problem,its fan problemm or display invertor priblem

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug it's AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds the boot it up and see if it would stay on.
- Next is to load in BIOS and see if it will shut down by itself because if it will that means it could be overheating.
- Open your laptop and clean the inside of it and apply new thermal paste on its CPU.
- Do also remove the battery and observe if it would shut down by itself with just its AC adapter.
- Try a different AC adapter as well that has the same voltage.
- If all these will not work the problem could be a faulty motherboard.
