so i have recently purchased aux cables from eBay. it was buy one get one free and only £1. so i got 2. the audio quality is incredible for the price. there are 2 problems though; the first problem is that when the cable turns in the port, it makes a scratching sound. the second problem is that there is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much bass coming through it. unfortunately i dont have a subwoofer so when i play heavy bass songs all i hear is a really heavy bass sound. is there any way to fix this?

Solution
depending on your sound card. even built-in motherboard sound cards should have the option to change effects. you can usually edit an equalizer or turn off/on certain effects that may help your situation. through the equalizer you can turn down the bass.

if it's Realtek there should be a second speaker icon(Realtek Audio Manager) in your notification area near the clock. this should give access to those options.
