Hi

I have an Asus UX31E. I have been having an issue when on battery power the laptop can switch off suddenly even although my battery is not showing as low sometimes it can even read as high as 80%. It doesn't shut down it crashes and completely switches off. I do not get this problem when plugged in. It normally happens when I am doing something that is slightly CPU intensive such as watching a video etc.

After doing research I have tried various solutions including updating my BIOS and replacing my battery but still having the same issue.

If anyone has any possible solutions I would really, really appreciate it.

Thanks
John

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstalling the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Make sure to uninstall anything related to your graphics card as well from Programs and Features.
- Next is to download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturers site.
- Once the latest driver has been installed reboot your laptop.
- If these doesn't work last resort would be to run a Factory Reset to reinstall Windows 10.
- And if Factory Reset will not fix the problem you'll need to contact ASUS for a repair.
