Dell inspiron 17 5748 wont turn on

hi,

i've had my laptop for about 9 months, just last year 3 days after the warranty expired, my laptop one day stopped working. i have been using it and i set it to sleep since i was moving after getting to the place i tried to power it up, it worked fine and then without warning it shut down, i tried turning on again but it didnt worked, i pressed the button but nothing happened after leaving it plugged for some time, i tried again and this time it worked just fine, i thought it was some minor problem or glitch, and that it was so i powered it down (bad idea). when i got home and tried to use it wasnt working at, there werent any lights on the laptop, but the charger work fine.

any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then see if it would boot up normally.
- If these doesn't work, do check the AC adapter if it's supplying enough voltage or try another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will boot up normally.
- Next is to reseat the RAM if using a different AC adapter will not work. Remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- Another step you may want to try to check if the LCD is okay or not is to connect an external monitor and see if you'll get any display from it.
- And if all these will not work the problem lies inside the motherboard itself.

i had tried most of them and still nothing, the computer doesnt show any sign lives, doesnt turn any light or anything, i thought it was the charger but it work fine ( i even using it now in my brother laptop), is there anything else i can do
