Toshiba Satellite A660

I have a Toshiba Satellite A660 that was given to me for free. When there is a battery installed, the computer turns off at random, usually during startup. When there is no battery installed, the computer works great. I have tested it with 2 older batteries, and it gives the same result. I'm trying to decide if i should buy a new battery to see if that solves the problem. Has anyone else ever heard of this issue?

Hi,

There's only few thing you can do about that issue.
- First is to try a different battery which you've already tried and gave you the same result.
- Second is to test the terminal on the laptop where it meets the battery if it in working order.
- And lastly is to really replace the battery itself with a new one.
