Solution
Hi Alexandra - let's see if I can assist you.

I will first of all assume that you actually have an Internet connection established on the TV and that Netflix is in fact available for your country of origin.

Note: It is a known issue that some older models of the Samsung Smart TV had / have issues with Netflix either due to the TV itself or because of the older version of the Netflix app. It is also a known issue that the Software Update feature can get stuck on a version and not report or be able to install the latest firmware. It is also a know issue for some, that even after having the latest firmware upgrade in place Netflix just refuses to co-operate

If this is the full number on the back of the TV...

Hi Alexandra - let's see if I can assist you.

If this is the full number on the back of the TV: UE37D5520RKXXU AND with the above mentioned points in mind try the following:

1) Try updating the firmware through the TV itself by going to Menu -> Support -> Software Update -> Enter.

With either the By USB or Online option highlighted you should see the currently running firmware version number Try the online option. It will either guide you through an update or tell you that there are no updates available (may not be the exact wording)

2) If the full model number I mentioned above is correct then go here:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE37D5520RKXXU

Scroll down the page until you get to the Firmware section and check the version against what you saw in the TV itself....if the TV reported no update available and the version number on the Samsung website is higher then you are experiencing one of the common issues as mentioned in my Note above.....therefore....download the Firmware Upgrade File with the highest version number from the Samsung website.

Note: If the full model number IS NOT the same as I have mentioned then to be on the safe side you can search again for firmware starting from here: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/
Scroll down in the Sort By column until you hit the 37" models and look for the exact model number and then hit the select button......if your model is not there then search for the Samsung Support website for your country of origin....if it is listed there continue as per the steps above

So....if you've got a firmware download from the website read through and follow this article to transfer the Firmware Update zip file contents to a USB and how to install it from there... look for the section "How can I manually Update the Firmware Version on my Samsung Smart TV":

https://ukwuakitv.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/201547021-How-can-I-manually-update-the-firmware-version-on-my-Samsung-Smart-TV-

MY ADVICE: I would perform a quick format of the USB stick prior to transferring the files and have nothing but that on the USB when performing the Firmware Update procedure.

If all this went to plan then test Netflix.

If all this did not go to plan then I have exhausted my knowledge but I would guess that you may just be one of the unlucky ones that got screwed by the Samsung Smart TV / Netflix debacle and / or there is no adequate update to fix the issue.

Good luck
