Hi. I have a problem and don't seem to be able to solve it on my own. I have a Packard Bell enme69bmp notebook which had windows 8 preinstalled. One day it just wouldnt boot anymore and print out "no boot device". I figured the hdd crashed, since it didnt show up in the BIOS anymore. Neither does it show up when its connected to my test computer. I tried both a SSD and a HDD, they show up in the bios of the netbook. At this point I thought ezpz all I have to do is install windows 8 on the new HDD and we're back in action. It turns out that I'm not able to get the netbook to boot from anything. I tried 3 different USB drives, with XP x86, 7 x86/x64, 8 x86/x64 but none of the drives even shows up. I also made a bootable partition on the hdd that had all installation files for windows 8 on it, but it just wont boot (works on my test computer). I disabled secure boot, but I cant change boot mode (UEFI/Legacy). This seems to be a feature that isn't included in BIOS Version v2.03 32bit. Updating the BIOS apparently is only possible while having an OS running on the system. Im lost =(. Thanks in advance!
