Acer S3 951 Display is Dim

I recently got a second hand Acer S3 951 Ultrabook. Screen went White. I replaced the LCD Cable. Worked for a while, then the screen is extremely dim. External Monitor works fine. I replaced the screen. That did not solve it. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you tried manually switching up the brightness of your laptop?
- Start by maxing up the brightness of your laptop.
- If these doesn't work try to download and install the latest graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Do check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer site.
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed and test it again.
- If these doesn't work you may need to open your laptop and check the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard.
- Try to remove the cable and put it back in making sure it's seated properly.
- If all these will not work you may need to consider replacing the screen or taking it back to the store you bought it from.
