I have a Samsung np305e7a-a02us 17.3" laptop. I connect the HDMI output to my Samsung TV but get no signal on the TV. I connected another Laptop to the cable and TV and it worked fine.

I went into display properties of the Samsung Laptop when connected and found it did not recognize the TV as a display at all to change it to extended or duplicate. Funtion+f4 did not work. Tried rebooting did not work, tried various combinations of turning TV on first, Laptop on first, different TV HDMI known good port. I could not connect to the TV at all.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,

Please do try to download and install the latest graphics driver of your laptop.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall AMD graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Next is to download and install the latest graphics driver from AMD support site.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Once installed, reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- After the reboot do test it again, press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Duplicate or Extended display.
