Greetings,

I am no pro in terms of computer knowledge, so forgive me if I fail to specify important information in this post.

I got the dell inspiron 15-7559 today and as soon as I opened it the screen began to show horizontal flickering lines... I don’t know if we can call those static lines, but anyways. They just about appear and disappear randomly on the screen at a rapid rate. The size of the lines are very small too.

I have tried playing around with the resolution but without luck. I updated the drivers, but that also didn't change anything.

Would anybody know of a way to fix this?

Thank you

Sebastien

There's definitely something wrong with your laptop, I myself have one which I received at the beginning of the month. I'd preferably get Dell to check it out since I don't want to void my warranty playing around with the parts, but that's up to you.

Just going to add, the laptop is great, but there are some pretty big Nvidia driver issues going on with some applications. Also Dell's customer support can get quite frustrating transferring the call around, so try to get straight to the point with them (I got transferred about 10 times).

Hope this Helps!

That is a circuit issue. Something is loose inside your laptop (usually around the bezel). If you said 'today', do you mean you bought it brand new? If so, if it's still under warranty, I'd get it checked out by dell. You can fix it yourself easily, but like I said if it's under warranty have Dell just fix it. If not, just google 'lines on laptop' and a lot of videos will show you how to fix it. It's usually just a matter of a loose connection.
