Ive had this laptop for around 3 years.
I7 3630qm 2.4
8gb ram
750gb
Geforce gt 650m
Upgraded from 8 to win10

Playing games like jc3 it gets pretty hot, but yesterday it overheated from just normal use.

I let it cool for some hours and tried powering up.
This fails and screen stays black all that happens is:
Power light on
Fan runs
Hdd runs
Both cpu and gpu get warm

I have cleaned and replaced the thermal paste on both cpu and gpu, with no luck.

I believe from reading other discussions its likely to be a fried cpu, gpu or mobo. But not sure which of these is more likely, and would like a more proffesional opinion before going further.

Thank you very much in Advance.

thank you for your reply.
How would i go about checking if this is the problem and it doesnt look like it but is it possible to switch this out if it is busted.
And wouldnt it still run on the integrated graphics without the need for the gt 650.

Other discussions mention things like ram issues or cpu issues??

Also the small pch under the wifi card gets extremely hot on the small metal heat exchanger, is this normal?.
