ok so i have a question i have a inspiron 5040 that some one gave me because it had taken a bath with them and by all appearance it was dead. however after about a year sitting in my closit i started messing with it and got it working there was corrosion on the bord in small amounts so i know its going to need to be replaced but im wondering if there are other board that will fit it i also have a dead n5050 board that looks exacly the same minus the vrms would everything else match up? the n5050 is a second gen intel system were the n5040 is first gen 
if not i may just throw another n5040 board in it with an i7 640m however looking at the intel site here for the 5040 board

with this i should theoretically be able to use any on that list? am i understanding the campatibility right or is it still limited by the board to a 640m?? i would much rather have the quad core i think but the 640m runs a higher clock speed any one have any input?
