They are the same except the hp has a bit more gpu power. A cooling pad would help but not much since most hp laptops dont have an inatke at the bottom (i cant find pictures of your model to confirm this though)

I have had a number of Acer computers and they all, exception being the desktop, had Windows installed. I have been recently looking for a new one and that has windows installed. Certainly here in Thailand most computers come with windows installed (legal Windows).

For some reason (unknown to me), many computers in India come without Windows installed.

My family have had a number of HP laptops over the last 8 years. Every one has suffered from the same problem - overheating. The problem appears after about a year. Having dismantled them I find that a wad of dust and hair (mostly cat hair) gets trapped between the fan outlet and the heatpipe cooling fins. There is no easy way of removing this other than dismantling - not a job you should undertake lightly. Vacuuming and blasting with canned air doesn't shift the problem. Until HP change their design to allow easy cleaning I can't recommend them.

As to Acer - I've no opinion. I use a high end Dell and do a lot of Graphic work on it. My son, who games, does 3D modeling and music with computers ditched his HP and bought a Dell too. Neither overheat (yet). My previous Dell was reluctantly replaced after 7 years to get more memory but is still in use as a tweet server. It never suffered from overheating.
