Help Finding Music Production Laptop

Hi there, my brother is a DJ, music producer, and a gamer.(console gamer I'm trying to change him) Recently he realized how slow his old Samsung laptop was and realized it was time for an upgrade. With that being said, he asked me "to find him a laptop under 1k" because he knows nothing about hardware and specs. I decided to come to here to get your guys' opinion on this. Considering how CES just ended and came out with new laptops and i thought it may be worth it to wait for prices to fall down. What are your ideas/opinions please leave them down below thanks.

Here are my current Choices for him as he wants Style,speed,and reliability (some of you may say get a mac because they meet all these but i would like some more verity.)

i know the zen-book isn't that fast but its slim,stylish,fast for his need most likely won't game but that upgrade option is available.

as in the title its MSI no doubt about that, its fast and can play games but its not stylish but i through it in here for the fact of how cheap it is. price to performance.
