I connected my new Samsung smart TV to the AUVIO sound box from Radio Shack. The sound box works with the TV but won't work with the Apps like Netflix or Amazon. Seems like I've tried everything. I had a lengthy live chat over the internet and also called and spoke with someone at Samsung and neither one had a clue and the problem still exits. I am using and optical audio cable connecting the TV to the box.
Thank you

After almost a week, I finally figured it out with the help of YouTube. I went into menu, sound, additional settings,, audio format and switched from Dolby Digital to PCM and it worked. In "speaker list", I left it in TV speaker mode instead of switching to Audio Out/Optical so that I can use the TV speakers if I choose or use the sound box. No thanks to the Samsung Reps,,,

Had the same problem suddenly chatter sound on Netflix movies using the Digital Audio with a converter box to Analog. It was working fine all along. I called Netflix and tried various settings, none worked. Oddly every other internet site the audio worked fine as well as the TV. I changed cables, boxes; Digital to Analog. Nothing worked. I called my ISP. They Didn't have any idea what would suddenly cause the problem. I did a Google search and found this forum. Exactly the same problem. The differ thought is that is that the sound/audio setting was already on PCM. I checked the Dolby Digital Comp setting which was set to RF. I switched it to the Line setting. That worked. The audio on the Netflix videos played as it should. Samsung should not have called these Smart TVs. Thank you so much for this forum/post. Although a different setting, it did lead me to find the problem and resolve it.
