windows button missing on taskbar

Hi,
When you did a refresh it might have rolled it back to Windows 8 which doesn't really have the start button. Try running an update and install all updates available, be sure also install Windows 8.1 update.
If these doesn't work do try these video tutorial on how to get a shell for you to have a start menu in WIndows 8.
