I have a Gateway NE56R laptop. After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I have an error message after shutdown: windows\system32\winload.exe status 0xc00000f 'the application is missing or corrupt'. I have tried system recovery (different stages including back to factory settings) which didn't work. I've tried recovery from the back up discs that I made and they don't work either. I was given a restore failed error code 0x241 'windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged'. Any advice would be greatly apprectiated. thanks!

I followed the instructions from the 1st link that Laptop_Nerd posted, using the Media Creation Tool, and it worked perfectly installing Windows 10 on a Dell XPS Laptop.
