Hello, so I've had a laptop and since I bought it there's been issues.
The laptop only worked when on the charger as the battery showed plugged in but not charging.

Eventually the laptop charger went out and only works in certain directions but I proceeded to buy another one with the same voltage, same problem.

Except that whenever I use the new charger, it has to be lifted up and lags while charging but I'm assuming it might be due to it being a different type of charger.

My issue is, I've looked up my laptop HP Elitebook 8730w and it says that it does not come with the 120w charger when with nvidia which my laptop has as it's graphics.
It also mentions 150w as a second option but I can't tell if that's the case with this one.

How would I tell if it's the charger port or if I just need to upgrade to an 150w charger?

I hope I didn't offend you, wasn't my intention, that's why I plus oned you. The key word in my statement above was "cheap". I was referring to the 5 to 10 dollar chargers you see all over EBAY. I recently bought a Dell charger from there, but it was a reputable seller and the his feedback showed no responses which indicated that the chargers he was selling weren't genuine Dell. I think the safest bet is to buy directly from the OEM, even if it is more expensive. I have seen too many times these cheap chargers not lasting or causing performance issues. Dell chargers contain a logic circuit and when you use a supply without that, it can cause the processor to go into power saving mode and the processor will run at half speed. The chargers you linked to appear to be genuine as well.
