how to connect the my philips home theatre system to my new shevaki smart tv 50 inch

Can't find any specs on the TV and you don't give a model number for the Philips.
Option one is if both the TV and HTS have HDMI ARC (audio return channel). This send the audio from the TV to the HTS through the HDMI cable that connects the HTS to the TV for disc playback. It need to be turned on.
Next most likely would be an optical audio cable from the TV to the HTS.
If you need to convert the digital audio connection, optical to coax or vice versa, or to analog there are converters for these purposes.
