Hello, I am currently having a problem with my laptop where I accidentally dropped it from my computer table. The screen is fine and nothing seemed to have fallen out of place but when I start it up it brings me up to a screen where it tells me to check my BOOT_DISK_VOLUME, which I have no idea what that is. I have attempted to return my computer to its factory settings using the Alt+F10 thing I saw in another post as I type this but its taking a while and I am not sure if I did it right. I also don't have a back up disk I think its called to restore older settings. I am currently running Windows 10 edition for my laptop. If anyone can help out it would be great.

Hi,

It seems like you HDD was damaged due to the fall.
- Do try to load BIOS first then see if your HDD is listed normally.
- If it's listed, go to Boot Options and make sure that the HDD that has Windows in it is set as 1st boot device.
- Next to do if all these will not work do is to reseat the HDD from the inside of your laptop. Task it off for couple of seconds then put it back in making sure it's seated properly.
- If all these will not work the problem lies in the HDD and replacing it would be the only solution.

Ok, I followed the second to last step and I wanted to ask if it takes a long time for the computer to fix itself? And if it does can you give me an estimate as to how long it may be?
