Laptop does not seem to be running at peak performance anymore... even after reinstall

I have a Lenovo Y50-70, with a:
GPU: GTX 860m
CPU: i7-4710HQ
RAM: 8Gb 1600 MHz
HDD: 1Tb SSHD (WD Black)

I recently reinstalled Windows, and it wasn't exactly running at peak performance before either. However, now it seems to be running just as poorly. It is not slow, but games like Project Cars are running really badly, even at low-lowest settings, where as when I got the laptop, it was able to run medium-high settings perfectly fine.

I do not know if this matters, but I did/do use my laptop for 3D rendering in Blender. Previously, the keyboard of my laptop would heat up like crazy when I was gaming/rendering, but now, it is running really cool for some reason. I purchased a cooling pad to help counteract the heat, but it is now not necessary, but I still use it regardless. I am aware of the driver issues with the GTX 860m, but I downgraded when my games began crashing.

I did get my motherboard replaced once (something about the internal graphics failed), just in case that is important

I would recommend completely wiping the HDD. Be sure you did't reinstall and rather created windows boot media, erased and formatted the drive and reinstalled that way. Other than that, remove unnecessary bloatware, run an anti virus program, basic PC Maintenance, PC's age fast, sometimes it's just a sign of old age. Unfortunately that isn't a good sign for your pocket.

Temperature is not too much of a problem (based off how hot the case feels). However, Lenovo Settings is reporting that my laptop is running at 100+ degrees Celsius whenever I start rendering.

My reinstall was actually a clean reinstall (sorry for not mentioning that earlier). I accidentally messed up the recovery partition a long time ago, so I reinstalled the drivers I found on Lenovo's website

I inspected them not too long ago (2 months ago or so), but they appeared to be fairly dust free. The laptop has a dust filter on the bottom, for intake, and it looks fairly dust free as well. However, I will inspect/clean them again just in case.
UPDATE* I am pretty sure it is the temperature sensor that is having issues now. Lenovo settings has a CPU temperature section, and it is going to around 70 degrees Celsius (Which seems about right), then suddenly going back up to 100 degrees
