When I plug in my Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 450 Headset it will work and I can configure it to have Stereo and left and right speakers. However during the installation of the X Surround Sound Driver from Turtle Beach's website (URL: www.turtlebeach.com/stealth450) the headset was no longer detected and I was not even able to find it in the audio device list even with "Show Disabled Devices" active. I am using Windows 7 Professional and if it matters, an MSi Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard.

Solution
I did some deleting and installing that solved the problem for me. I uninstalled the headset drivers that it installs when I plug it in then leave it plugged in then installed the X Surround Sound Driver. After installing that I took the transmitter from the USB Port and then inserted it back in, let it install the device then I was able to configure the 7.1 Surround Sound because the headset did show up in the list of Audio Devices.
