Hi, I recently purchased an MSI GS70 and tested it on Passmark 8. While most of the results seemed ok/average for the hardware, I scored really low for the G3D test compared to other users with the GTX 970M. On videocardbenchmark the average 970M score on G3D is 4224, however, I scored only 1217 which is well below average. In particular, the individual scores which were well below were the G3D DirectX 11 and DirectCompute tests in Passmark 8. My CPU, the i7 5700HQ seems to be performing ok, so I don't think the cause is bottleneck, which leaves me wondering what the problem is. Am I missing some important graphics software which doesn't come already on new laptops? I've updated my Nvidia driver to the most up to date version (361.43).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Solution
Did it come with win 10? The scores maybe lower if the laptop is downloading the updates while you were running the benchmark. Also make sure that all the other drivers are up to date as well like the cpu.
