Hey!

I'm looking to buy a laptop for school (engineering) so powerful enough to use Matlab, CAD software etc without too much trouble. I also live in different places during the week, so I need something that can game fairly well (1080p high quality AAA games like the Witcher etc).

Last but not least, I need it to be fairly thin and light, and have a decent battery (~4 hours if not more). I have my eye on a GTX 970M XMG C505 .

Are there any other laptops that fit my criteria? My budget would be about 1700-1800eur.

Thanks for the help! :)

EDIT: I'd like a 15.6" screen, with 1080p screen.

The laptop that you have linked is a good one but would get 8 gigs of ram as a min.

HP Zbook and Dell Precision Mobile Workstation should meet your needs very well. For the budget you can have a lot of choices. The first choice is usually how large the screen you want it to be? It should be one that's comfortable for you to work/study for long time, and the resolution should be pretty high to show everything you need. I suggest to go to HP and Dell's website to do some comparison and then pick one that fits in your budget.

Thanks for the answer, but after having a quick look, The Zbook is not quite as powerful as I 'd like it to be, and the Workstations are too heavy for my taste :-/
Thanks for the answer though! :)
