So as the title says, I'm trying to choose between these 3 laptops for a friend who lives in Switzerland (I'm in the US). The configuration I'd get is the same between them all with a GTX 980M GPU and i7-6700HQ CPU, and then there are minor differences for storage between them. They're all around the same price with those configurations, and the use will be gaming as a desktop replacement primarily. Suggestions for completely different laptops are welcome if you think they're better than these listed. Thank you ahead of time to anyone who can help me out with this choice!

Asus G752VY (2306 CHF):

MSI GT72S (2499 CHF):

Alienware 17 (2468.99) [note: site is not in English but all the component names are]:

As an aside, I'm not sure why this other Asus GT72S laptop is 2499 CHF instead of 2306 CHF when the only difference I can see is that it has a 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD, and the cheaper one has a 2 x 512 GB SSD which while less total storage, is considerably more SSD storage and so I would expect it to be more expensive.

Ask what he wants. If you want build quality, then the asus is the best. If you are looking for battery life and portability then the alienware is the best. I personally don't see any advantages with the msi.
