Will a Asus Rampage V mobo be sufficient to power the 150 ohm Game Zero headset by Seinnheiser? Or do I need something else, like the Creative E5 dac at 199$ http://www.amazon.com/Creative-High-Resolution-Headphone-Amplifier-Bluetooth/dp/B00MXJYDUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451253946&sr=8-1&keywords=sound+blaster+e5 (pretty pricey) or a sound card? I have a old creative titanium and titanium fatality, but they are 5.0 surround sound dolby, etc.. very old. My issue with a soundcard in general is that I don't really have the space due to the size of my gpu x2 and design of the power supply in the case.

the onboard audio on the rampage v is fairly decent so you may be able to get by with that alone. also, the game zeros are now 50ohm impedance instead of the 150ohm impedance of earlier models.

if you find that they are not powered as well as you would like, you can get a soundcard for them. the creative z would be more than capable of powering them. if you want an external amplifier, the fiio a3 would work fine (you can use your onboard audio for virtual surround if it supports it) or if you want a dac+amp you can get the fiio e10k (2.0 sound, no virtual).

the only nice thing about the creative e5 is that it might have virtual surround built in.. however at the price its no deal.

also, keep in mind the game zero will be very bass...

also, keep in mind the game zero will be very bass light. if you want any low end bass punch get the game one instead as while the game one is not crazy on bass its a bit more neutral while the game zero is bass light.
