hello. i have geforce 740m 2 gb , and i only play one game on it only which is Dota 2 . So , i did alot to run the game at a constant 60 fps , like overclocking and tweaking the settings in the nvidia driver and the game itself.
however, when my gpu is reaching a temp like 67-69 . 69 degree is the max temp my gpu reached while overclocking , i have a decrease in the game fps about 10 or 20 .
so my question is what software there is , so that i can use to force my gpu to keep performing at its maximum power with a temperature limit of 72 degrees for an example ( anything above 69 degree will be a good limit)

ps: im overclocking with nvidia inspector

Bro 68 degree is nothing for a gpu , and no i dont want the gpu to not get heat , i want it to exceed that temp in like 5 more degrees and stay at the performance level that was running at 67 degree temperature .
bro gpus max temp is 100 degrees , u call 70 overheat ?

Are you talking about a Laptop?
Cause the M series GPUs are for laptops

btw bro i tracked my temp , and the max heat temp ive reached is 68c and not 69 , so at 68 , my gpu performance should stay constant , no need for dropping frames , it makes me sick man

hmm HP, you know mine is burnt on the inside cause i overclocked the GPU aswell,

But 68 is too much for a laptop, thats why im saying mine is burnt.

You should build a Custom PC and liquid cool it :)

And GPUs can get upto 90 degrees safely is only for desktops, but for laptops mine only went upto 60 degrees got burnt.

the GPU didnt burn but the cooler that touches the GPU is all black :(

So i say you get a Desktop :)

thanks man for help . but i guess 68 is optimized for my lap , just i wish i dont have that fps drop as time passes during the game though 68c has been reached with or without overclocking

have you tried turning the game graphic settings to low?

The temp limit should be around 100. I have noticed that when a laptop reaches 95 degress regardless of gpu, it will start to throttle if it is a laptop. The best thing you can do is to use a laptop cooler and reduce the settings.

Second 69 is normal while gaming on laptops.

Also don't overclock a laptop unless the performance is starting degrade. The temps will increase as you overclock it.

Finally your laptop should be able to play that game fine at med settings assuming the cpu and cooling is good enough.

thanks man , but with or without overclocking , ill reach a max temp of 67 degree , gpus max temps i think could reach 100 , so i dont think my overclocking is causing a problem now , but the temp limit in windows bios i think is set to 67 degree by default , i want to change that to 70 as an example and see what happens , if i will have a stable fps , then ill be happy!
