Hello,

I have recent trouble for the preview's thumbnail in windows browser.
Every time I create/save a picture/img (wathever extension, jpg, gif,...), I can't see directly the new thumbnail, the previous thumbnails remain visible... as long my default viewer is windows viewer.

To enable it, I have to right click > open with > select any other default viewer... then it appears..

I'm so tired to each time redifine my default viewer to just activate my icons....!!

Does anyone encountered this strange behaviour ? Thanks !!

Example of a picture recently saved:

Finally I could manage to have it "thumbnailed' after changing/coming back to the default viewer (annoying) :

Thanks for your reply, a good refresh indeed, but now all icons are standarized and no thumbnail can be previewed, unless I reopen them manually, changing default viewer and back again to another viewer, then they are back...(annoying)

Parhaps, the problem is directly linked to windowsviewer directly.

If my default viewer is something else than windowsvw I get the thumbnails... I discover the pblm is with winvw !!

I don't know if the dll or something is corrupted, but I am not expert enough to play with system files...

Another think, I used the program "Filestypesman" to recover the icons... from another icons change..

I found a directory name I've never heard before in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 !! Is SysWOW64 a windows dir where you can find system32.dll,..... ??

I found this answer on the net ;
"SysWOW64 contains all of the 32 bit DLLs and binaries required to run 32 bit applications on a 64 bit system, if you delete this you will no longer be able to run 32 bit applications. "

I am running W8 with Intel i7.

Well, i come back to the thumbnail, so unfriendly to have them 'iconized' instead 'thumblenized'..
