I have no problems playing games such as csgo, league of legends and minecraft to name a few but the past couple weeks ive been buying some games including rust and endless legend and both have made my Laptop shutoff without warning, any suggestions?

Hi,

Yup, GoBonzo is right, monitor your temperatures. Use the tool CPUID from CPU-Z, its really good and gives valuable insights.
Ideally you should keep your laptop under 90 degrees Celcius (which in itself is pretty high), try to perform the following:

1) Check your temperatures while gaming.
2) Check if your laptop fans are functioning properly

Laptops shut themselves down to prevent frying the chip when it gets too hot or it might just be an OS issue, Windows 10 developer preview is notorious for app crash and shut downs frequently.

Also if you would like to watch why laptops over heat, you can check out my video over here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPXgTap7SYk

You can download CPUID from over here ->...

you should monitor system temperatures and disk, cpu, & memory usage & frequencies at time of crashes.

report back with any further info(including system specs) and someone more than likely can point you in the right direction for a fix.
