I have just received my Dell Precision M6800 Mobile workstation running Ubuntu 12.04 SP1 from Dell India. It has an i7 processor, 16GB 1600 Mhz RAM, 256GB SSD and a 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD and a a high def 17" display.
Problem: I created just two users. Everytime, I log out one user, it takes more than 5 minutes to logout. the same happens if I try and switch users. During this black screen interval, I see a lot of Disk Activity. Dell India has no answers so far. As they perhaps, mainly know windows... WHAT SHOULD I DO Please advise urgently...
I am using Gnome (gdm). "gparted" shows that sdb (1 TB HDD) is still unallocated, but 256GB
has sda1-Dell utility (FAT32), sd2 OS (FAT32), sda3 ext4 203 GB, sda4 extended 31.88 GB, and sda5 swao with ~32GB
