Asus N550j laptop shut down and won't turn back on

Hi guys and gals,

I rely on my laptop for everything and am sorta freaking out right now. About 10 minutes ago I was watching a movie when my laptop abrubtly shut down. And now it won't turn back on.

I have tried removing the internal battery and holding down the power button for 30 seconds, then replacing the battery and plugging it back in. I've done this twice. And Nada.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi,

Here are some more troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by reseating the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are all seated properly into each slots.
- If these will not work do remove the battery and try powering it on with just the AC adapted and see if it will boot up.
- Do also try another AC adapter that has the same voltage.
- If all these will not work and if the laptop is still under the factory warranty I would suggest contacting Asus Support for a repair.
