Hello everyone,

I've had a gaming laptop for a few months, and it worked wonderfully until a few days ago, when it started having some serious performance issues. It has an i7 core and a 760M GPU. Games that used to easily run at 150+fps now run at 30. Power settings are on high performance, I tried going into the NVIDIA control panel and manually setting them to high performance processor, tried doing a clean install of the drivers, laptop is currently plugged in. I don't know what to do anymore. I would love any pointer.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Laptop temps is crucial as well when it comes with your gaming experience. Since you've already did a clean install of your graphics card driver another troubleshooting step you can do it to clean the inside of your laptop and make sure that it's dust free. Do also apply a new thermal paste on both your GPU and CPU that should help a lot in cooling down your laptop.

Here's also an article on how to do the clean install might have more steps included in it.
