My headset just broke. I need a new pair of some sort of gaming headsets, $100.

Solution
Newegg has them for $80 after promo code. They are excellent for gaming. Very comfortable, wide soundstage, good clarity, enough low end for an immersive experience but not bass heavy by any means.

Would it be worth buying the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma? it's on sale for 80 instead of 100, I have the 7.1's now and I personally like them. Any flaws with the chroma ones?

HyperX Cloud > Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma.

On 2 points: Audio quality and build quality.

Can't top the HyperX Cloud. They're good audiophile headphones, rebranded Dakstar Pro80S headphones.

Razer Kraken can't compete.

I think the Takstar Pro 80S actually has better sound quality than the Sennheiser 518. Not sure about the difference but they're criminally underrated still.

For 70 dollars, the HyperX Cloud (Takstar Pro 80S + Mic) is a steal.

Can't prove the HyperX is better than the 518 though.

Both are great. Sennhesier has a little more action on the low and high frequencies, making them sound a little different. The Takstar are more natural, but some people find them to sound flat. Of course some people hate the Sennhesier sound too. Headphone sound preference is very personal.

Didn't really break, but they stopped working. Razer Kraken 7.1's, non chroma. They keep having some sort of power surges.

You really convinced me to get the HyperX Cloud. Is there any difference between the white and black versions? The reason I ask is because one is cheaper than the other.

I don't know anything about audio. Is there any noticeable difference with the Cloud II's to the Cloud? Either way I'm going to go with HyperX Cloud.

Personally I don't mind having surround sound. Just don't know what would be exactly better for gaming, but mainly CS. lel

Edit; [strike]I also see there is a HyperX Cloud Core and HyperX Cloud, is there any difference with them too? [/strike] Never mind, I found out, it's for the peasants.

I can get the HyperX Cloud off of their website for like 50 right now. I'm kinda big on a good sounding microphone so at some point I plan on getting that clip on mic that was posted before, but it doesn't matter that much. From what I saw most of the more recommended high end headsets/phones have stereo speakers so... Like I said I have no knowledge about audio shit.
