I have a CF-54 here that I would like to remove the KB from. I've torn down many many many laptops before but I cannot seem to figure this one out. There is no removeable top cover, as far as I can tell. Tearing down from the underside up I get to the MB and I see the KB has, what looks to be some screws holding it in... from the top side. I've looked all over the topside but I have yet to see anywhere I can get to the screws.

Has anyone had to tear one of these down and can give me some helpers?

Thanks in advance!

I spent a good 20-30 minutes trying any and all combinations of CF-54 keyboard removal, repair, teardown service manual... etc etc

I just shot off an email to their support, let's see what they say...

First link, doesn't remove keyboard, I actually did a more thorough teardown while trying at first.

Second link, CF-53 have a different body build... including the "standard" remove cover above keyboard to access screws.

Still waiting on Panasonic Support

I was having the same problem. Could not find screws so I decided to brute force the thing. If you gently pry the left edge of the keyboard upward, you will discover there are no screws holding it down. There are thin lines of adhesive on the underside of the keyboard. The connector is located below the space bar so don't pry anywhere around there.

The adhesive is naturally pretty strong so a little "gentle persuasion" is necessary to separate the keyboard from the surface below it.

This is a website that sells a keyboard for the CF-54. It has images of what the keyboard looks like when removed.
