Did you happen to create a recovery backup (DVDs or onto a USB flash drive)? Other than doing that, your only other option may be to reinstall Windows.

Do you have a Windows repair disc?

I do not have a recovery disk for this computer. I have just ordered a recovery disk from Toshiba. I was just hoping there was a way to get ti repaired without the wait.
Thanks.

I have been able to use a 3rd party repair disk to get to the D drive (recovery) but cannot seem to find the correct file to boot the recovery. Which file should i be looking for?
Thanks

You might be able to with the Windows repair disc (different than the Toshiba recovery disc). Since the recovery software is on its way, I hope that gets you back up and running. :)

Well, my update seems to have disappeared. I have been able to get to the recovery drive (D) with a 3rd party SW, but I cannot find the file that boots the process. What am I looking for? none of the .exe files do anything.
Thanks

It's proprietary software; there's a fair chance that the application itself is not a .exe file. Since it needs to be bootable, too, there needs to be data in the recovery partition that allows the system to boot from that partition after POST. If that data is corrupt or missing, you might not be able to do anything with it.
