hello i have Dell inspiron 15(3537)for like one year ... and lately when i restart or shut down lap top or open new program game ( when the lep top is idle ) the fan( i think becauseit is coming from that area) is making a sund like krrrr ( i don't know how to describe it , like when u scratch something made of plastic) it is like 1 sec and then fan is working normally... before 1-2 month it was like 1-2 per day now like everytime when i leave lap top and after some 10-15 i open something like chrome it start that short krr sound and then fan is working normaly( like when i bought) i still have 1 year warranty but sometimes the lep top does not make this sound so i dont know if guys from shop will belive me plus the lap top is working fine no overheating or other problems ... so can u help me with any advice what to do to wait something to happen to instal some program or something? thx.... and sorry for bad english

That's a good idea; don't risk the warranty. Have it serviced under warranty. They will likely replace the fan for you as long as they can recreate the noise. Sounds to me like a bad bearing.

yeah it's coming from the right side where is fan .... it does not bother me but i am afraid that something can break or something ... i clean the fan last week with air compressor like i do every 4-5 mounts and sound is still there...

If your fan is making noise, all you can do is either...
1. Clean it and see if that helps. Sometimes dust or other junk gets caught in there and causes noise. You'll have to inspect the fan to see for sure.
2. Use a high quality lubricant. If it's a bearing making the noise, this will cause it to stop.
3. Replace it.

yeah .. thank you for the answer ... i need then to take it to service if i try to open it i will lose warranty. the problem is this noise is like 1 sec before fan start do blow and thats all sometime like 2 days ago there was nothing.. but yesterday every 15 sec when i put lap top away i heard this sound... i will call service and see what would they tell if i can bring lap top there or leave it untile something is happend...
