NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M [Display adapter]
runs at a lower lower frame rate and is significantly outperformed by my
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 [Display adapter]

Games tested on : League of Legends / Titanfall / Civ5
Yes Drivers are 100% updated

Why is this happening? People tell me its not suppose to?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that I've suggested to others that worked for them.
- Do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall NVIDIA graphics.
- Open Program and Features then uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics.
- Download and install the latest driver there is.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx.
- Reboot the laptop once installed.
- Next is to set your games or application that requires your high graphics with NVIDIA processor.
- Here's how to set it:

I'm what you call a power user so mostly every setting possible is set to performance on everything including the Nivida control panel. And always plugged in.

Has this decrease in performance started the day of this post or did the intel 4000 always outperform the gt 640m? Also just to let you know the gt 640m is not really a good gpu to play games on. Apart from league of legends and CIV (due to the i7 cpu) which should be playable at low to med settings titanfall maybe a bit of a push for the gpu.

I'm not sure when it started really. And I can play league with my Intel 4000 on max settings with a solid 80 fps with v-sync off. And I assumed my 640m wasn't that great I've just been told it should out perform my Intel 4000 and it really fails at that.
