Guys, I have a laptop (HP pavilion g6)with AMD A6-3400M. It says that it has Radeon Dual Graphics. The Speccy gives me one ATI AMD RADEON HD 6520G and one ATI AMD RADEON HD 6470M. It also gives me that Crossfire is disabled. So, here is the question: how can I enable crossfire in this machine? I tried it via AMD Catalyst, but although I enable crossfire, the speccy gives me the same result.

Solution

You do not have "crossfire" you have dual graphics which is not the same. They are often mistaken for one another.

Not sure what you mean there, do same thing as with any other graphics, run games on it. Do you have issues with something? Often we see people run some test or other that gives them a result they don't like or don't think should be there where there is actually no issues at all with the system.

Are games slow? If they are, are they games that can run on the laptop?

Well, a game that I am used to play is Counter Strike Global Offensive. It runs smooth enough, but it is not lag-free. Also, is there any way to use both graphics cards at the same time? Otherwise, why should this laptop have 2 graphics cards?

CSGO should run pretty well on that system, but it's online so lag may be from other places.

The reason laptops have dual video cards is not just for them to work together, it's also for power savings. When you are not playing games it will use the onboard graphics for longer battery life. Dual graphics can be a pain to work with, it often depends on the stock setup of the laptop, with drivers from the laptop vendor. If Microsoft had a driver update or if you tried to install the drivers from the video card maker, that can break proper use of dual graphics with AMD cards.

I'd check with support for the laptop and see if things are working the way they should be.

You can also do a test by disabling the gaming video card in Device Manager and running the game, then again when it's enabled and see the difference.
