How do I protect myself and my device from heat coming from what looks like a poorly designed ventilation system on the right side of my device?

This is the device in question: http://

It starts cut on the side but then it also goes beneath. I can fix this part by sticking a laptop fan below, but my hand has to go on the right side (edit:where the previously mentioned fan pushed out heat). Anyone have a solution?

edit: clarified because people aren't answering my question; I made it easier and smoother to read.

Is that your way of saying you don't have a solution? I'm all for solutions.. returning this particular product isn't an option.

I chose carefully because of my needs. Please don't insist upon alternatives such as replacement.

I figured asking for a solution that I couldnt think of or research myself might be a long shot considering what I know, but I don't know everything and decided to ask. There certainly isn't any shame in it, and if a solution is provided, then others may also benefit.

I suggested you exchange it for something that works better with the way you work. You aren't going to be able to change the way the laptop exhausts due to the design of the cooling solution used.

So, Yes, you're right. I have no other solution for you. Sorry to have you waste your time.

No, if I my time was wasted, then so was yours and I don't like to think that way. Your time is equally important and besides that, it's the gesture that counts. You tried. Because of this, I don't really feel worse off.

I'll just make do with a chill mat that has fans positioned closer to the edge.
